Executive Committee Meeting - 12th April

An Executive Committee Meeting of the Gwent County Chess Association was held at Panteg House on Thursday the 12th of April 2012 to discuss the future of chess in Gwent and the Newport and District Chess League. The minutes of the meeting are available.

Welsh Junior Championships

The second weekend of the Welsh Junior Championships was held at the Grange School, Monmouth on the 17th to 18th of March. Rhys Bennett won the Under 13 title outright and Stephanie du Toit tied with four other players for the Under 11 title.

WCPL: Round 6 results

Sun 18th March 2012

The sixth round matches in the WCPL were played over the weekend of the 10th and 11th of March. Abergavenny won against Cardiff. Cwmbrân won against Nidum with Ioan Rees winning his game against Richard Jones. Newport drew their match with White Knights.
